Lake Tahoe is a premier skiing and winter sports area in the United States. Located on the boarder of California and Nevada, this area is a popular vacation spot. Once in San Francisco, a connecting flight or a six hour drive is necessary to reach the lake.

Both the Manchester and Bristol airports offer great parking solutions for your trip to Lake Tahoe. For a trip of this distance, parking at Bristol Airport  may be appropriate. For those who want an Olympic feel, there are several great hotels in Olympic Village in Squaw Valley, the home of the 1960 Olympics is another great Lake Tahoe ski resort area.

Lake Tahoe features a wide assortment of casinos and casino games just over the California border in Nevada. Most of these casinos have hotels with restaurants on site. The Nevada casinos are open 24 hours. Near the lake, guests can rent sleigh rides or snowmobiles and ride the local snow parks. Guests can take the lake paddl-wheel boats out and tour the lake. There are several shopping malls in the area and plenty of restaurants of all cuisines. During the summer, the lake becomes a water sport area with beaches, fishing, jet skiing and boating. There are numerous trails to hike and alpine flowers to see.
